Roommate AI

Roommate AI ("we", "us") is built for verified college students. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

What we collect

Account info: your .edu email address, password (hashed), school name, first name, last initial.
Profile content: photos, bio, hobbies, sleep schedule, cleanliness rating, and other quiz answers you provide.
Match activity: which other users you tap, mutual matches, and messages you send within the app.
Payment info: when you purchase Premium, Stripe handles your card details — we never see them. We only see whether you paid.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic analytics to keep the app running.

Other students at your school — your profile is shown to verified users for matching.
Service providers: Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI), Resend (email). They process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy commitments.
Legal compliance: we may disclose information if required by law or to investigate safety threats.

Access: request a copy of your data anytime.
Deletion: delete your account and all associated data via the settings page (or by emailing us).
Correction: edit your profile anytime.
Opt-out: unsubscribe from email notifications via the link in any email.

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, photos, matches, and messages within 30 days.

Roommate AI is for college students 13 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
